Like many other organizations, the Junior Symphony Guild, or JRSG, routinely held fundraising benefits in the form of musical shows. The biggest of these fundraisers was called the Showhouse and took place in Denver each year during the week leading up to Mother’s Day. The Showhouse event was a way for Denver residents and visitors to have a chance to visit some of the interesting residences in the city.
This included the Phipps Mansion, which was normally closed except for important weddings and functions for diplomats. The Manion and its tennis pavilion have been restored to their former levels of elegance and visitors during the Showcase could feast their eyes on the remarkable renovation of the historic building.
